“I went to the woods because I wished to live deliberately, to front only the essential facts of life, and see if I could not learn what it had to teach, and not, when I came to die, discover that I had not lived.” - Henry David Thoreau

Reconnect to nature

Montelodoli is our reason to slow down and reconnect with our natural ritmes.
Here you will have the opportunity to take paths leading to the forest and submerge yourself in the woods, feeling refreshed and renewed. Visit the Castles of the area and enjoy the wine tours and and all the history around. Challenge yourself to try something, ceramic, cooking, writing, baking your own bread. Have a horse back ride, or enjoy practicing yoga and meditation in the garden or at the pool.
If you feel like doing nothing you can curl up in one of the many corners of this house to read, draw or simply sit down listening to the sounds of nature with a cup of freshly brewed tea or strong Italian coffee.
Positioned on top of a hill and surrounded by woods, the garden will be visited by animals such as roes, deer, porcupines and many others.
In the olive grove hidden between olive trees, wild vines and edible spontaneous plants we are hosting bees that you will see wandering among the flowers of the garden.
We firmly believe in nature and its healing power for soul and body and for this we try to respect it in every aspect of our life.

“There is something infinitely healing in the repeated refrains of nature – the assurance that dawn comes after night, and spring after winter.”   Rachel Carson

In nature, nothing is perfect and everything is perfect. Trees can be contorted, bent in weird ways, and they're still beautiful.
Alice Walker
